I painted the “Character Of God” because of where I see this world headed. This painting shows the kind of hope I find by no other person except through Jesus Christ. God is love; He is also just. The lamb on the left represents Jesus' first entrance and His incredible rescue of mankind at the cross seen in the middle. He paid the penalty of my sins and yours. The lion on the right is also Jesus representing His second coming as the victorious Lion of Judah. 

This is actually the third in a series, “The Lion of Judah,” “The Lamb of God,” and this one, “Character of God.” I thought quite a bit about how I could paint this scene. Then I found one of those free photos on the internet where this lion was absolutely stunning. So, began this triad project.

This painting reveals a complete picture of God’s intent for this world. Where He came to remove sin’s scourge, He is returning to make everything right. So, no matter how bleak this world may become, with Jesus there is incredible hope for anyone following Him.
